Through Katharina Bies Studio, I create work that shapes how people experience the world—through photography, art, and the design of spaces.
As an Interior Designer, I design experience-driven environments across residential, hospitality, commercial, and retail spaces. Guided by human needs, my approach is rooted in minimalism—reanimating the built environment through tactile design that engages both body and mind. I distill each project to its essence, creating spaces that foster belonging, autonomy, and identity. From concept and artistic direction to final realization, I work closely with a trusted network of craftspeople, designers, creatives, and architects to bring each vision to life.
As a Photographer, I capture places, atmospheres, and people with a distinct, intuitive eye. My work goes beyond documentation—it reveals natural beauty through character and creates genuine connection.
As an Artist, I explore the dialogue between history and modernity, imagination and discipline, refinement and anomaly. Selected works are available for purchase.

I am a woman with university degrees in International Business and Architecture. I am a wife, mother, sister, partner, lover, and friend. I am an Entrepreneur, Marketing Manager, Interior Designer, Photographer, and Artist - to put me in a box - but these roles don't fully contain me.
I am fascinated by breaking conventional molds and exploring what lies beyond the edges. I'm a dreamer and a realist at once. I fail. I succeed. I cry. I grow. I laugh. I love. I' m a little untamed and don't quite fit, and I embrace it. I seek experiences that make me feel alive. I drive fast, savor antipasti and good wine, and cherish time spent outdoors. I treasure long evenings with friends, full of joy and meaningful conversation. Inspiration is always my pursuit - and I find it in people I meet and places I go.
I am passionate about visualizing, creating, and capturing inner beauty and authenticity. I strive to weave beauty into life wherever I can, believing that it enriches and elevates the everyday — this is my little secret to happiness.
